It's been a few seasons since a colour made its way onto the pages of decoration and interior design catalogues. It quickly gained popularity and furniture, accessories and even appliances were colored from it. Many skeptics declared that, because it is a bold and unusual color in decoration, it would have an ephemeral life. "It's just fashionable," they declared. But no, the mint color has shown its potential by continuing to be, years later, in trend.

However, at this point in his life his audience is divided between those who are still in love with him and those who, on the contrary, have already had enough. We are clear: the mint color continues to occupy a little space in our hearts. And you, what group do you belong to?

Mint is a color with a lot of freshness and warmth at the same time. In general, it brings a lot of light, generates a relaxed atmosphere and, without a doubt, adds a lot of personality. It belongs to the range of pastel shades and, believe it or not, it is very versatile. It can be used in many ways and is easily combined with countless colors and materials.

Starting with the colors... how to combine it?

With pastel tones, you will achieve very feminine atmospheres. And if you don't like the pastel result but are still looking for femininity or a romantic touch, choose to combine it with lavender or mauve tones.

If you want to inject energy into the room, the contrast with yellow and coral will give a vibrant air and detract from the coldness of the color.

Mixing it with wood is a very successful option to create natural and warm environments. Even more so if you combine it with plants and flowers.

If you are looking for a more avant-garde, industrial or sober environment, you don't have to give up minting. The result of combining it with black and dark colors is very powerful and Nordic.

White (and light gray tones) are good options to enhance its luminosity.

Finally, a tip: with gold and bronze the result is brilliant. Dare to add a touch of these colors to gain distinction and elegance.

Next step, how to include it? It will depend on how daring you are. If you are a big one, using it in large doses (on all walls, for example) is an option. But if you are worried about taking risks or think that over time you will get tired of it, brushstrokes on some furniture or accessory will be enough.

Last step: where? 

The kitchen is one of the spaces where we, personally, like this colour the most. We find it a pleasure to eat surrounded by this fresh color, as it will transfer that sensation to our food. Combining it with wood is one of the most popular options, but there are many more! Dare to make with a mint-colored appliance, aluminum chairs or stools, kitchen utensils, accessories...

Due to its relaxing sensation, it is also a good option for bathing. Walls, ceilings, floor or the bathtub itself! Do you dare?
