The idea of filling the sofa with cushions I couldn't like more. It is the best way to get a cozy, comfortable and warm space where you can enjoy your moments of rest.
In addition, cushions have the ability to transform our sofa and even the style of the living room, making it much more personal. The advantage is that, depending on the season of the year we can change them, for example, in summer we can opt for cooler textures; linen, cotton... And now in winter we can incorporate warmer pillows and cushions; of fabrics such as crochet, wool fabrics, hair, velvet...
The more cushions we place, the more we will have to take into account their placement and, despite seeming to be placed randomly, this is not the case, if what we are looking for is to obtain a good aesthetic result.

One of the keys to making our sofa full of cushions a comfortable and stylish space is the theme:

Neutral

In this case, we will only combine different cushions in neutral tones and without prints, however we can play with the different textures to give more dynamism.

Our most Nordic and trendy style

Soft and pleasant colors such as whites, grays, blacks and the typical print of the Scandinavian style, geometric prints that we can combine with some totally plain, although if we dare we can include all the cushions with geometric prints, of course, always following the same style, as well as a coherent chromatic range.

Bold theme

If we are one of those who like to create cheerful environments at home and contrasts go with us, then a great idea will be to choose cushions with bright tones that contrast with the sofa. Within the Nordic trend, one way to take a risk can be to combine some printed cushions with bright colors along with others in neutral colors.

How do you know how many cushions to place?

It will depend mainly on our style; Generally, if we just want to add a little 'life' to the sofa and the living room and not leave a minimalist style, two or three cushions will suffice.

If what we want is to break with the tone of the bedroom and what we are looking for is for the sofa to 'call us' to immerse ourselves in it, then we can put up to six or seven cushions (always talking about a three- or four-seater sofa).

Forms

Square, rectangular and roll. And now in the most varied shapes, from round, cloud-shaped, star-shaped, etc. Here it will also depend on the look we want to give it, the more informal and more fun it will be, the more symmetry (cushions of the same size), the more minimalist and tidy it will look.

Prints

As I have already mentioned, it is important to follow a theme, geometric combining triangles, rhombuses, stripes, etc. Contrast of exotic prints, now that Christmas is approaching, for example we can include prints with motifs of the festivity... Variety is the spice of life.

Colors

You have to have a coherent chromatic line, if we choose bright colors that generate contrast, they will be colors that also exist in our living room, thus creating a link with the whole room (even if it is a vase of the same tone).
As you can see, with something so basic and that all houses have (a sofa and cushions) we can create real spaces of style, comfortable and full of life.
