Mirrors are elements that we usually include in decoration for functional reasons, so we do not fall on their design, nor on their strategic placement, we believe that placing them in the bedrooms and in the bathroom is more than enough, because in these rooms they fulfill their service, see ourselves reflected and that's it. But a maxi mirror can give us much more, a large mirror can become the key piece of a room, due to its style, its design and its layout, the latter is essential when we seek to create an optical effect of spaciousness and depth.
Surely when you think of mirrors and how to place them, most of you imagine a medium-sized mirror hanging on the wall, because it turns out that if we place an XL mirror resting on the floor, what we will achieve is that it is reflected and with it we will create a greater feeling of spaciousness.
It is important to take into account what will be reflected in it, we have to be careful and get the reflection to be from a well-kept area or, for example, to focus on a window, so we will gain luminosity in the room.
The good thing about mirrors is that they are decorative accessories, which do not go out of style and there are countless designs to be integrated into environments of all kinds, there are minimalist (with thin and discreet frames, almost camouflaged on the wall), there are vintage-inspired (worn frames, aged wood or in a gold finish) there are more modern ones in more intense tones and different colors... It will all depend on where we want to place it and the design of the room.
My recommendation is that, although a large mirror can also be hung on the wall, if you dare to place it on the floor, the optical effect you get is incredible, it is a totally original vision of the room and the feeling of depth it brings is very beneficial, especially in houses where square meters are scarce.
Where to place them? Wherever we want, from halls, bedrooms, living rooms... You just have to find an empty wall and a set or window to reflect.
