Before and after a flirtatious Vintage kitchen

When we decide to invest in what will be our home, our family's, we have to think carefully, weigh the pros and cons, prioritize and, above all, we must have vision and, in many cases, see beyond what we can have in front of our eyes at first glance. You will understand me better with the example that I bring you today, the before and after of a kitchen. Before the renovation it was a sad, dark room with a decoration and a combination of colours that was not at all appreciated, but, thanks to the vision of its new owners, we can now see a vintage-inspired kitchen typical of a magazine.

Its owners say that most of the work has been carried out by themselves and with the help of their relatives, it is clear that they are a handyman couple, but this also indicates that achieving a charming, stylish and comfortable space does not have to be linked to a large economic outlay, it is a matter of looking for the balance between what we like, what is more practical and what is within our means.

The importance of light tones to create a light-filled atmosphere 

It's not that in Nordic decoration they have a special fixation on white, it's that the Nordics, as functional as they are, know that a blank canvas is an extra contribution of lighting for any room,  more so in spaces where natural light does not enter easily, as is the case of this kitchen, which, as we can see, only has two fairly narrow windows at the back.

To create a feeling of spaciousness, drawers and furniture on the walls have been dispensed with, and a traditional bacon table has been placed in the centre of the kitchen, as an island and around which the life of this kitchen will revolve. Pastel colours such as mint, pink or nude, combined with the natural wood chosen for the entire front of the kitchen, a mix of soft, pleasant tones that create a very homely atmosphere. 

The vintage details are what make the difference and make this kitchen a unique and special place

The ceiling lamps, the dining table and the chairs made of wood and metal, the sink... A kitchen full of life that lacks no detail. I love the little corner created for the little ones in the house, a wooden table with two chairs so that they have a special place to make their meals, paint or simply hang out in the company of their parents.
