Before and after: Impressive transformation of a living room with an open kitchen

Today we travel to the Netherlands, to see the refurbishment and transformation of the salon of the blogger and decorator of Avenue Lifestyle. A surprising before and after that will not leave you indifferent. Let's take a look!

Before the renovation, the living room was an uncharming, "bland", cold and personality-free space. We are not exaggerating, you can see for yourself:

The first thing that was done was to give a coat of white paint to all the walls and ceilings. It's amazing how such a simple action, like painting white can give such a spectacular final result, don't you think? 

To add a little texture to the room, they chose to cover a part of the fireplace with mosaic, a detail that brings subtlety to the environment. As well as the handmade pieces that decorate this corner. Details that give a boho and personal touch to the decoration.

The old and worn parquet was replaced by one of large natural wood slats. The change of flooring, together with the white walls, provide a greater feeling of spaciousness and brightness to the room.

Here I show you the connection between the living room and the kitchen. Although its original layout has not changed, it has been re-covered with new and current materials and the wall modules have been removed to give it a more unloaded and modern air.

If kitchens are open to the living room, all the more reason they have to keep a more organized appearance and be in tune with the rest so that this connection between one room and another is not lost.

To add a little contrast in this living room with neutral tones, they chose to place a dusty pink sofa, in which cushions of different colors, textures and materials are mixed.

Zag rug

Delicate and subtle mixtures in textures, fabrics and shapes add style and personality to the living room, such as the Beni Ouarian rug or the art gallery that complements this space. 

White furniture with simple and straight lines coexist perfectly with restored pieces, recovered furniture from different styles and eras. A decorative solution that adds style and elegance to the new living room.
