Home tour, a house where you can breathe peace

Time has passed very quickly and we are already on the last home tour of this 2019. To say goodbye to this year and anticipating the new trends of 2020, we share a country house in Australia. 

Simple furniture, soft colours and the idea of creating spaces full of peace and tranquillity, so that next year you can live your home in a much slower and more sustainable way. 

The family as the center of the house

In previous posts and home tours, we have talked about the convenience of creating open spaces in order to gain in light and square meters. With these images, we want to take it a step further and see how people should become the center of your home.  

Beyond the decorative advantages, integrating the living room and the kitchen will contribute to improving family life. Everything becomes connected and, it is easier, to develop activities together, such as studying, cooking, reading or chatting. 

In this home, soft tones are used, achieving continuity with the same floor or white walls. The kitchen with a sober design fits in very well and continues with the line of slow decoration that we liked so much. Then, the dining room arrives as a union between both rooms. Goodbye to television in the living room? 

Although it will be a progressive change and it will take time to arrive, there are more and more salons where television has not only lost its privileged position, but has disappeared completely. 

Large modular shelves and  sideboards have taken up its space and the organisation of the living room has changed forever. 

Try to enhance chats with family and friends, creating a square sofa, armchair and armchair scheme. This way you can all see each other and share a coffee or an informal dinner at the coffee table. 

To complete the entire decoration, look for extra touches of warmth such as cushions, boho touches in the wall decoration, armchairs made of natural fibers, wood and ethnic rugs. 

Neutral tones and natural fibres in bedrooms 

Leaving the living room, you arrive at the bedroom, the most intimate area of the house. Here the colour palette is still based on whites and beiges. If you want to get that sense of calm, which you've seen in decorating magazines and blogs, play with several layers of textiles such as duvet cover, bedspread, plaid , and cushions on the bed. The goal is to see several overlapping textures. 

Finally, if you want to join a slower decoration, look around and take advantage of any space (especially if there are windows nearby) to put an armchair, a side table and some decorative touch, creating small rest corners. This home is perfect for looking for inspiration!
