This rustic house has undergone a brilliant refurbishment, the work of the architect Glòria Durán. The house dates back to the 1900s, after the renovation its appearance is modern, current and contemporary; respecting many of the original architectural elements. One of the great challenges of the renovation was to create a comfortable and sustainable home.

The old windows have been replaced by new ones with double glazing, the current lighting is by LED's and solar panels have been installed to produce hot water in the house.

The living room was rearranged to connect the living room with the kitchen and provide direct access to the garden. In the living room, the beams were painted crisp white and the floor was replaced with new parquet. With this change, the natural light of the space is enhanced.

The main protagonist of the kitchen is the vaulted ceiling, original to the construction. This space was completely renovated. To enhance the ceiling, it was decided to use kitchen furniture with straight and simple lines in white.

In the rooms, which are located on the upper floor, the original tiled floors were preserved. Creating environments full of colour, charm and personality.

As for the decoration, wooden and white furniture are the dominant ones; But we also want to highlight the fusion of past and present. A balanced combination of styles and rustic design. Natural fibres, together with white, is another of the star elements in the renovation of this home. Rugs, decorative accessories,..., which add a plus of naturalness and calm to the new home.

Outside, the old courtyard was transformed into a beautiful garden with a swimming pool, with direct access from the public areas of the house.
