Today we travel to Barcelona to visit a house of eclectic architecture, in a building from 1910. After the renovation, unique environments have been achieved; where past and present finishes, furniture, materials and colours are mixed to create different, sophisticated and very daring environments. Will you join us?

The interior designer María Querencia López, together with the company Homecret, are in charge of signing this reform; with a final result of the most suggestive and that surely will not leave you indifferent.

The first thing they did was to propose a new distribution, since initially it was too compartmentalized, with very small rooms. An open-plan space was proposed, with high ceilings and very bright.

From the original architecture, the carpentry of the pillars and shutters have been preserved.

The new decoration is a mixture of styles, eras and finishes that allow you to give that unique and personal stamp to the house. An aspect to highlight is the use of pearl gray or wheat-colored microcement on the walls; as well as the white that has been used for the new flooring.

With this neutral base, it allows different furniture and decorative pieces to stand out even more.

As for the decoration, the mixtures are the main protagonists. Auxiliaries in a vintage-style gold finish, they coexist perfectly with marble furniture, microcement, natural fibers, current pieces and others found in flea markets. This eclecticism results in unique environments full of sophistication.

For the new kitchen, with straight lines and minimalist, grey microcement is once again the main protagonist, used in the countertop and sink. Colour and material that contrasts with the white lacquer of the furniture and shelves.

For the new bathroom, the fiberglass wall with a floral print stands out. This detail allows to visually lighten the volume of the microcement bathtub.
