A perfect apartment in Barcelona

Stripping the house and getting the most out of it, that was the primary objective of the interior designer Marta Castellano-Mas when facing the renovation of this apartment in a building in the Raval of Barcelona.

The result after the renovation is a fresh apartment , with lots of natural light, sweet and with a marked personality. White and gray are the base colors that are complemented by pastel tones.

Natural wood is one of the star materials for the new decoration. This noble material is seen in most of the furniture and accessories, as well as in the herringbone oak parquet that covers the floors of the entire apartment, thus providing continuity and a greater feeling of spaciousness. A finish that contrasts and adds personality to the house together with the exposed brick walls and the Catalan vaulted ceilings.

The dining room space is appreciated by the mixtures of styles and details: Nordic, bohemian and vintage, they bring style, luxury and personality to the space. The play of finishes and materials that blend together in total harmony, allows to give the room a pleasant feeling of calm and tranquility.

A "total white" kitchen with straight and minimalist lines occupies the centre of the house, a discreet, modern and very functional space. This small room open to the rest of the apartment also appreciates the mixtures. An original display case is responsible for dressing the wall opposite the workspace.

Round carpet

The furniture and details of natural wood is one of the common threads in the decoration of the entire apartment. Unique pieces. Reclaimed furniture and current designs complement each other and allow for a suggestive and evocative atmosphere.

The apparent simplicity in which the bedroom and bathroom are decorated, together with the fibre and natural wood furniture, allow you to create spaces with a pleasant feeling of comfort and warmth. 

The renovation and decoration of this apartment is a superb mix, which brings together comfortable and refreshing pieces, with a great aesthetic sense and marked personality.
