Oval table, the ideal table for the dining room

There have been times when rectangular tables have been the stars in dining room decoration, on other occasions we all wanted a modern round table in the living room and now arrive, as the latest trend, oval tables, a mix between rectangular and round.

Especially at the time of year in which we find ourselves, a month in which we receive family and friends and days in which we will have to organize meals for many people, having an oval table can be a considerable advantage for the organization of our home. They are functional tables, where if we choose a design of ample measurements, we will be able to comfortably seat the whole family and most importantly, we will ensure that, thanks to their pleasant curves, no one has blind spots and everyone can connect with their eyes, because these days are for that, to connect, chat, eat, enjoy and be happy.

This combined design gives us the benefits of both, on the one hand the spaciousness provided by rectangular tables and, on the other hand, the softness of curved lines and the ease of conversation produced by circular tables, since all diners can see each other and conversations become much more fluid and orderly.
As for its location, a table with rounded corners is always easy to place both in the living room (next to a chest of drawers, in front of a window...), and in dining rooms located in the kitchen itself, to delimit the work and tinkering area with the social area.

Its line is more pleasant and harmonious than a straight-lined table and we can choose different designs depending on the style of our home, combining legs and top in different material (glass, marble, wood...) and also choosing different formats such as straight or cross-legged legs, a central leg or playing with colors and contrasting with the design and chromatic range of the chairs.
And if we do not have much space we should not sacrifice having our oval table, we can opt for a folding table and open only half of the top and leave it attached to the wall on the other side to gain space.
