Surely you have been struck on more than one occasion by tile floors, tiles with mosaics, colors that intermingle and that draw the flooring of a house. The truth is that tiles give a special and alternative touch to homes, but it is also true that a house with tile floors is somewhat cold and less welcoming than wood. For this reason I propose an idea with which we can enjoy the special touch of a tile at the same time as the warmth and comfort that wood provides, but how?

Combining both materials in the same home, even in the same room.

We usually use tiles in the kitchen and bathroom as they are places where the floor suffers more and it is easier to care for and clean than wood, but we can play with combinations and dare to place tiles in other places, for example by delimiting areas of the same room.

Mix of tile and wood for an original floor

If our kitchen is attached to the living room we can take advantage and create a rectangle with tiles in the kitchen area and leave the rest with wooden flooring, in this way we will delimit the two areas much more, another idea is to place tiles in a part of the corridor and from the hall, the entrance to the house is the most suffered because we come with dirty shoes from the rain, the mud... And this way we will avoid spoiling the parquet. We can be even more daring and intersperse wood with tile on the same floor, making geometric games and achieving an original effect without the need to create drastic changes, but integrating both materials in unison.
I have a lot of imagination and I can already visualize in my mind many of the ideas that I propose, :) But for those of you who still don't see it clearly, I leave you with a gallery full of inspiration and ideas that you can bet on to give a different air to your homes.
