We travel all the way to southern Italy to discover a building concept called Trullo.

These are old rural houses in the Italian region of Apulia, in southern Italy, made entirely of dry stone masonry walls,

without any mortar, topped with a cone-shaped roof.

This roof, shaped like a projecting vault, is decorated with symbols painted with lime, and is supported

by walls up to a meter and a half thick, also whitewashed.

The image drawn by the set of these buildings in the small villages of Italian Puglia speaks for itself of their richness,

which, as you can see, goes far beyond the merely aesthetic.

The Trullo La Cipressa, the work of architects Aldo Flore and Rosanna Venezia, is nestled among hills and ancient olive trees.

The materials chosen are the simple ones of the Apulian tradition, such as tuff finished with scallops based on white milk lime,

the iron, with its hardness and essential lines, which contrasts with the white, giving the place that typical atmosphere of the area.

The furniture is the result of meticulous detail drawing and the pursuit of the reuse of

Antique pieces found at the construction site.

The exterior of the house has been treated in Tuscan style, 

with stone walls and floor that complements wonderfully with nature and the white color of the façade.

Next to the pool, surrounded by nature, there are white sun loungers and a wooden side table. 

What a fantastic place to cool off!

We start the tour inside the house by accessing the kitchen. 

Stone floor, wooden furniture and full of rustic details on the ceiling.

The kitchen connects directly to the living/dining room through an open brick door.

Traditional style chairs and coffee table in dark wood, perfectly combined with a restored vintage sideboard in beige. 

This type of furniture demonstrates the charm of heritage pieces, of antiques, of the authenticity of a piece that, being handmade, is unique.

Entering the living room we find a decoration

country and very summery. 

A weathered green wooden door and a white brick L-shaped sofa are placed in front of the fireplace.

The combination of greys, stone and white bring softness and joy without stridency. 

In the bedrooms you can breathe a warm and relaxed air.

It has been chosen to decorate the space with natural fibers and neutral tones, mixed with antique pieces.

Microcement becomes the main piece of furniture in bathrooms along with golden brass taps. 

Simple but very elegant.
