What does the 60-30-10 technique consist of?

The numbers 60-30-10 correspond to the % that the colors should occupy within a room. That is, 60% for the main or dominant color, 30% for the secondary color and 10% for the accent color or small details.

60% main color

This should be the color to apply on the walls, ceiling, or floor. They are usually neutral, light and fresh colors; to add brightness and spaciousness to the space. If you choose a "light" range, it allows you to highlight the other colors you use to decorate the room.

30% secondary color

This shade should be the color of choice for the furniture and some of the walls. Here you can use any color, as long as they are not excessively strong tones. Pastel shades, grays or blacks are a good option.
