Today we stay at home and we present this renovated apartment in the L ́ Eixample neighbourhood full of colour and light that combines casual pieces with stately architectural elements.
Its owner, although it needed a comprehensive renovation, knew how to find the charm and potential in this 150m2 apartment with high ceilings ornamented with moldings and large windows.
In a house with construction elements as unique as the columns or the arch, an original decoration was imposed. The owner, designer and owner of the Alsolete brand, clothing for moms and children, was personally in charge of it. Her goal was to combine pieces of different styles to achieve personal atmospheres.
The stately architectural elements that the house already had in origin were maintained. The Corinthian columns, with a fluted shaft and capital of acanthus leaves, support an arch decorated with scrolls.
In the dining room, the rustic wooden table, with marked veins and knots, loses its apparent simplicity when combined with metal chairs with a retro air, but painted in sky blue! A lighthearted wink that reminds us that we are in a house of the 21st century, full of vitality.
Two antique doors form an original headboard. Its marked design, based on quarters and grilles, was softened by painting it in tune with the wall.
