A small renovated apartment with vaulted ceilings and fresh air

An apartment of only 40m2 located in the Barceloneta neighbourhood has been converted into a contemporary home, very Mediterranean and ideal for its owners to escape for a few days on holiday.

The architecture studio that led the renovation has tried to make the most of the scarce space of the apartment and has worked to achieve greater clarity and a sense of visual spaciousness in every corner.

A Mediterranean atmosphere, very summery thanks to the textures, colours and decorative accessories that complement this home; a vaulted ceiling that makes the house an exclusive space and a decorative mix on the floor that helps to define spaces and make rooms independent, even if they coexist in the same place, such as the living area, the entrance to the house and the kitchen, where we see wooden flooring and hydraulic flooring, two options that marry perfectly and are a permanent trend.

The Mediterranean and fresh style is perceived throughout the apartment, from the entrance with the wall painted in an intense navy blue, the choice of natural fibers for the carpet and the baskets in the living area and the contrast with the white, the wood of the furniture and the vaulted ceiling and the brick of the kitchen wall, that adds a more welcoming touch.

Even though it is a very small apartment, the feeling is spacious and not at all overwhelming, in fact, between the living room and the kitchen area it has been possible to place a dining room for up to six diners if necessary.

And another of the great decorative solutions in the reform has been the delimitation of the day area (living room and kitchen) with the night or personal area (bathroom and bedroom), the two areas have been separated through a piece of furniture that does not reach the ceiling, acting as a partition and at the same time as extra storage. And to enhance natural light throughout the house, the front has been completed with a glass door.
